Grilling cheese with Chilli, strawberries and reduced balsamic vinegar

A meeting of beautiful, strong, sweet and salty go together to create a perfectly balanced appetiser or canapé for your guests while you are waiting to sit down at the table.
Mix the vinegar with the cane sugar in a small saucepan and carefully heat until it comes to the boil, and then allow to simmer over a medium heat until it thickens and has the consistency of a thin syrup.
Rinse the strawberries and pat dry. Cut the chilli cheese into 12 equal pieces.
Grill the chilli cheese on a warm grill pan – alternatively use an ordinary frying pan.
Place a toothpick in each piece of cheese and then a strawberry.
Drizzle with the warm balsamic glaze.
Serve immediately as a little aperitif.
