Ingredients:

For the chicken marinade:

  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 tsp sambal oelek (hot chilli paste)
  • 2 tbsp grapeseed oil

Pitta bread with peanut butter chicken and Taverna Domyati

Pita bread is a fantastic and versatile food that can be eaten every day, packed in a picnic basket, eaten as a starter or as part of a buffet with delicious dishes from the grill. Try this delicious recipe with pita bread where peanuts, soya, chilli and salad cheese meet in savoury harmony.

Method:

Stir all the ingredients for the marinade together and turn each piece of chicken in the marinade.

Allow to marinate for 1-2 hours in the fridge.

Cook the chicken pieces on a barbecue or grill pan and warm the pitta breads.

Fill the pitta breads with the lettuce, chicken and Domyati, and add the sweet chilli sauce.
